Missions MessageTennessee Baptist Children's Homes Each year in Tennessee, over 12,000 children suffer the pain and loneliness of being abandoned, neglected, orphaned, or abused. The Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes care for approximately 300 of these children each year who find themselves without a place to call home due to family crisis. They accept all children regardless of race, creed, or socioeconomic background without cost to the child or their family, and without accepting one penny of government funding. Their purpose is the same as it was when they were founded more than 100 years ago: to provide a stable, family environment for children and families that teaches them Christian values and leads them to become whole persons through the love of Jesus Christ. TBCH has residential homes in Memphis, Brentwood, Chattanooga, Kingsport, Johnson City and Oakdale. They have a home for unwed mothers in Greenville. Single parents and their children are cared for at the Living Waters Home in Greenville and the House of Healing and Hope in Brentwood. Preservation programs are located in Knoxville and Union City. Visit the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes website at www.tbch4kids.org for more information. Dayton First Baptist Church gives 1% of all undesignated receipts to the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes each month. |
