Cumberland Springs Bible Camp
Cumberland Springs Bible Camp, located on Dayton Mountain, presents many opportunities to learn and grow physically, socially and spiritually. As we lead activities, we teach campers new skills and challenge them to try new things. Our small group format encourages campers to meet new people, work together and build friendships. Most importantly, we share the essential truths from the Bible and show campers how they can know God and live for Him.
We share God’s Word with children and teens through camps and retreats. Every member of our friendly, caring staff commits to setting an example of Christian love through service. Our Group Leaders make special efforts to connect with campers throughout the week. Many staff members have long attended our camps and have now joined us to help new campers have a wonderful experience.
We want every camper to feel welcomed, to make friends and to have fun. More than that, we pray that every camper would hear God’s Word, respond to the truth and go home a changed person. All glory be to God!
We have many opportunities for Summer Camp at Cumberland Springs Bible Camp coming up.

Church Motto
First......that all may know Jesus.
This is the motto of First Baptist Dayton, TN
taken from 1 Timothy 2:3-5.
"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,"
From the Pastor:
FBC Dayton Family,
In the media, men/ fathers are reduced to a byword, a joke, or someone to blame.
However, the Bible, and life, teaches something very different. Instead, Men and Fathers in the Bible are given the responsibility of everything! The family, the nation, the government, and the church all fall under the responsibility of men.
In the last chapter of 1st Corinthians, the Apostle Paul gave some strong instruction in closing out a letter full of strong instruction.
He tells the church with the assumption of male leadership, “Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”
This is great instruction for all men!
“Be on the Alert”- Men, be awake, be aware, notice what’s going on around you!
“Stand Firm in the Faith”- We must know the Word and live it… stand upon it!
“Act like men”- Don’t act feminine! Act like the leaders that the Lord called you and commanded you to be!
“Be strong”- We have a nation of weak men! We have been emasculated and we have to be strong! We have to stand up to evil!
“Let all be done in love”- This is not a dominating or lording kind of love! This is “agape” love, a sacrificing love! It is loving to God, the church, the government, and your family when we lead the correct biblical way!
Happy Father’s Day Men! (15th)
