  • Church Motto

    First......that all may know Jesus.

This is the motto of First Baptist Dayton, TN

    taken from 1 Timothy 2:3-5.

"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,"

  • From the Pastor:

    FBC Dayton Family!

A few days ago, I had my first anniversary as pastor of this church! We are seeing some successes this year, and I look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for us! I know He wants to use First Baptist to reach lost souls in our community!

How do we do that? By using every opportunity to bring God glory and share the gospel!

The Apostle Paul says, “I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some. I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.”

Obviously, Paul is not talking about sinful things! In context, Paul is identifying with other people. He would meet people right where they are to win some!

The Bible says of the Gospel, “it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…”

What kind of power? Saving Power! Sanctifying Power! Changing Power! Sealing Power! Even Dying Power!

We are also told, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”

I want everyone to know the forgiveness and the power of God! We have several opportunities:

    - - Good News Club

    - - Homecoming

    - - Every Lord’s Day

    - - Invite someone to Sunday School!

    - - Buy someone lunch & share what Jesus has done & how He has changed your life!
