Music Ministry

Music is an integral part of worship at First Baptist Dayton. Through our congregational music, Adult Choir, and God's Kids' Choir we strive to praise God weekly through song.

Choir Notes: October 2024

The Adult Choir is diligently working on songs for each Sunday as well as the music for the Community Christmas Choir in December.

We were blessed last week by having Steve Keen (brother of Mike Keen) play the piano for us. We were also blessed by the special music of Mike Keen, Beth Harris, Steve Keen and Tony Castlen. We look forward to hearing from the Kingdom Kids choir in the next few weeks.

We would like to invite you to come sing with us! We always welcome new folks into the choir. We meet from 4:45 – 6:00 pm on Sunday evenings for rehearsal.

In Christ,

Randy Bright

Adult Choir

Our Adult Choir takes the joy of singing into our morning worship services. Their committment to the Lord and praising him every week in song is truly amazing to witness. We have around 15 members or more but would love to fill the back row of this choir loft one day! You could be the next new member in this group. It is a wonderful ministry to be a part of, and we are a family. You will be welcomed with open arms. The Adult Choir meets every Sunday evening at 6 PM and every Sunday morning at 10 AM in the choir room. We hope to see you there, especially you male singers out there!

Kingdom Kids Choir

Who: Kingdom Kids Choir is Age 4 yrs-5th Grade.

When: Sunday Afternoons  @ 5:00pm

Where:  Preschool Area

Psalm 95:1-2 says, “O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.”

The children will sing on October 20th. It is a song straight from scripture. Matthew 22:37, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment & the second is like it. You shall love you neighbor as yourself.”

Isn’t it amazing how easy it is to put scripture to mind when we pair it with music!! Thank you for your continued prayers & support for this ministry.

Sound Booth Ministry

Do you have an interest in working in the sound booth?

We need volunteers to run the video presentations, live stream and the sound on Sunday mornings. This is a great way to get involved in our church,  and serve the Lord. It is not as difficult as you may think, so please pray about joining in this area of service.

If you desire to find out how to operate in this area,  we can train you.
